Good things ahead

Well, I'm still working on getting my degree and as a result, plans to visit Wuhan keep getting pushed back.  On the good side, I have recently been in contact with my Chinese friends and should I make a visit to Wuhan in the upcoming future, they will be happy to see me!

I will never be able to fully let go of China.  And actually, I'm pretty happy about that.  I just can't wait until I get back there.  I'm so curious to see the changes and I'm super excited about visiting old happy places.
Either way, it will be an amazing trip and has the potential for being as life changing as the original experience.

Looking forward!

So, I'm currently working on getting my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree.  This will be accomplished next year.  I think the year after that......I gonna go to Wuhan!

Happy hour

I dreamt China again last night.  I was at Blue Sky and the bell just rang for happy hour.  I ran up to the bar and ordered my two bai wei (Budwiser) pints.  The bartender looked the same and the bar looked the same.  It's funny when those dreams happen.  I like 'em!  It's like a trip back in time.

Mmmmmmm =)

Dreaming of a dream

I had a dream last night.  I had a dream that I met some of my fave students from Wuhan.  They were older.  Actually, in my dream, they were about the age they would be now.   I was so happy.  It would have been nice if the dream was real.
Even if I could hop on a plane today, I still wouldn't see them.  They're all grown up and if my calculations are correct, they've all graduated from Wuchang Experimental Primary School.  I still wish I could see them though.

Maybe, I'll see them again in my dreams

FINALLY!

Ok, long story short. I get on the plane tomorrow and I come home. I've got my money, my ticket and my bags are packed. Finally, I get to go home. This nightmare is finally over. FINALLY!

See ya soon,

Free at last

So I finished my last class at the kindergarten and when I left I didn't look back. I was so happy to be rid of that place. The new teacher was supposed to come in and get an orientation from me but she never showed. Don't care.
The day itself wasn't too bad. The classes were almost empty because the last day of school apparently means that you don't have to show up. Heck, if I knew that I never would have gone. In any event, the week wasn't too bad. Not having the middle school to deal with helps alot. I have one class with the Japanese girl later this evening and after that my working days in Shanghai will be over. I pick up my Japanese money today and I should be getting all paid up with the school on Monday.
I was thinking of taking a trip to Hangzhou but I'm on the fence. I want to do it because I feel like I should see something in this country other than the mean streets of Shanghai. I know the Hangzhou trip will not only be good but it will be good for me. However, the busy travel season is approaching and I'm pretty sure I could get a ticket to Hangzhou but getting one back into Shanghai on the same day is a gamble. Oh, just to clarify why my hesitation, I will explain the train situation here. Train tickets only ever come in one-way. I can buy a ticket to anywhere in the country but I could never buy a return ticket. If I'm at point A and I want to travel to point B, I can buy a ticket from A to B. It is not until I get to point B that I can buy a ticket from B to A. Fucked up, yes I know but that's just the way it's done. I'm afraid that when I get to Hangzhou, I may not be able to get a train back on the same day and I don't have the money to spend the night. In any event, I haven't decided either way but we'll see how it goes.
Anyways, 5 more days and the entire nightmare will be over. The big part is over, just a little further left to go. I can't wait to be home!
