My trip to New Orleans part 2

That's my mom in the middle with the orange shirt. This is on the way to the Riverbank. There is a sort of boardwalk that has shops and restaurants and it is also where you can get the river boats like the aforementioned Natchez. It's really nice out there and we were there around sunsent so it was really very nice.
This is me on Bourbon St. It was a rainy day so that sucked a little but the rain is not something that slows the city down. They go about their business anyway. This is in the heart of the French Quarter and is all one way streets. The roads are very narrow but when you look up on the balconies, you can see left over beads from the Mardi Gras. As I have mentioned before, I gotta go to New Orleans for the Mardi Gras.
This is outside of a restaurant called "The Court of Two Sisters". It's pretty much the only and best buffet restaurant in New Orleans. The food was awesome! Some of you may be aware that New Orleans has a lot of history and so does this restaurant (the name says all). Anyway, these gates that I'm standing in front of, were blessed by......somebody, I don't remember who and the sign on the gate says that anyone who touches the gates, would be blessed as well. I'm lucky I didn't burn up!
That long thing in the background is the Mississippi bridge. We had to cross that everyday from our hotel, just outside of New Orleans to the city. It made things interesting and fun. Only thing is, the signs in the city are not what we are used to. In Toronto, there are enough signs before and at your exit/highway entrance so that there are no mistakes. In New Orleans, there may be one sign telling you where the entrance is coming up but none at the actual entrance, so sometimes you could miss the entrance if you're not paying attention.
This is once again downtown New Orleans, the French Quarter. Here you get a better shot of how narrow the streets are and you can see the balconies that people hang out at during Mardi Gras. The people in New Orleans are so awesome and warm. They are always very friendly and you could practically start a conversation with anyone at anytime. If you could get out there, I highly recommend it, you'll have a great time.

Tomorrow, general pics from my trip

Yeah, there's still a few more.
